Accessibility
A guide for visitors with mobility impairments
The Experience Centre
Our reception automatic doors open outwards. If the sensor does not detect you when walking through them, they may close. At that point, please move away from the doors and then back towards them so that they can reopen.
Wheelchair Access Locations
There are three locations within the Experience Centre where we have sloped flooring. There is a gentle decline on either side of our reception desk, both sides are less than a metre in length. The third, located in The Archive Room, is a longer slope of 21.5 metres in length and has a slightly steeper gradient. All three slopes are fitted with handrails, although The Archive Room slope has a handrail on one side only.
We have a lowered reception desk on arrival.
Although there is access onto our decked outdoor area (found via the Terrace Room or Shop), we do not currently have a ramp leading from here, in case of emergency. Works to rectify this will take place winter 2025.
All barring one of our doorways are the required width for wheelchair access. The single door fire exit in the Morgan Works Malvern showroom is 760mm
Factory Tour
Bench seating is used at the start of the Factory Tour where you’ll watch an introductory video, listen to a short health and safety briefing and be given a headset so that you can hear your tour guide during the tour. Single seats have then been placed in each workshop along the tour, should you require them. We strongly recommend that you bring a wheelchair, mobility scooter, camping chair/tripod or a folding stool if you will find it uncomfortable to be on your feet for two hours.
Please speak to your tour guide so that they can ensure good visibility whilst touring the factory. If you are in a wheelchair or mobility scooter, we encourage that you politely ask other tour participants to allow you to the front of the group, on occasions when the tour has stopped to look at an area or piece of equipment.
We encourage that you use the toilet prior to the start of your tour. Employee toilets can be found along the tour route in an emergency (Heritage Room, outside of Trim Shop and outside of Metal Shop). Please let your tour guide know if you need to use the facilities so that the tour can be paused. Please note that there are no accessible toilets along the tour route.
To get from the Experience Centre and to the factory will require a slow paced 10-minute walk. During this walk, there will be an uphill gradient to get you from the bottom workshops to the first building entered on your tour.
The factory tour route takes you down four sets of steps. Three sets of which have 2-5 steps at a gentle gradient. The last set of steps is steeper and contains 6 steps. We have alternative access points at both locations and so if you are in a wheelchair, mobility scooter or simply not comfortable descending steps, your tour guide can make you aware of the alternative routes.

Morgan Cafe
Food and drinks should be ordered from the cafe, at the deli counter. If drinking/eating in, your order will be brought to the table.
Fire Alarms
In the event of fire, flashing fire alarms can be found throughout The Experience Centre. Our experience teams will also sweep the building to ensure that everyone has evacuated, directing to the nearest fire exit and evacuation meeting point.
Hearing Loops
We have hearing loops located on reception, the deli counter in the cafe, and on the payment counter in the shop – all highlighted with hearing loop symbols. We do not currently provide printed or written information, but details of our experiences, cars and facilities can be found online.
Audio Subtitles
Subtitles can be found on videos playing in the Morgan Works Malvern showroom, on the large content screen in the café and on footage playing in The Archive Room.
Factory Tours
We do not currently offer a written version of our Factory Tour however subtitles are included on the short video played at the start of the tour.
Tour headsets are given out to all participants to allow them to hear the tour guide whilst exploring the factory. Our standard headsets use inner ear pieces, and so should you be unable to remove your hearing aid, please speak to reception who will provide you will an over ear headset (only one currently available).
With production running Monday to Friday, the factory is very loud from sounds such as radios, machinery and our craftspeople working our core materials (wood, leather and metal). There are also locations throughout the factory where you’ll find strong smells of wood, leather and other production materials.

The Morgan Experience Centre is proud to recognise the sunflower lanyard as a sign that a customer may need assistance, understanding or more time during their visit.
Noise Cancelling Headphones
We have one adult, and one child sized set of noise cancelling headphones behind reception, should you require use of them.
Familiarisation Visits
We are able to offer familiarisation visits to the Experience Centre without need to book, as well as short familiarisation tours along our factory tour route, when pre-booked.
Busy areas and Queuing
When visiting The Morgan Experience Centre without a pre-booked experience, please don’t hesitate to bypass reception to avoid this busy area and queues. A map of our facilities can be found on the left-hand side as you walk into reception, opposite our reception desk. If you have an experience booked and need to queue jump, please let us know at the time of booking so that we can anticipate this.
Table Bookings
Tables can be pre-booked in the Morgan café by giving us a call, sending an email or can be made in person during a familiarisation visit. Alternatively upon entering the Morgan Café, please find a table to be seated at. Menu’s can be found at the deli counter and as standard, orders should be made here also, but please don’t hesitate to ask one of the team if they could take your order from the table.
WiFi
Wi-Fi is available throughout the Experience Centre.
Quieter Areas
Quieter areas of the Experience Centre can be found in the Showroom, Morgan Shop and The Archive Room.
Factory Tours
Saturday Factory Tours
The Morgan Motor Company factory is in full production from Monday to Friday. We are open on Saturdays and continue to offer the Factory Tour experience without production taking place. Whilst you may still be touring the factory with up to 17 other people (max 18 people per tour), it is a much quieter experience with less noise and sensory impact.
Carers
There is no charge or booking necessary whilst visiting our facilities at The Morgan Experience Centre (showroom, café, shop and museum).
With the purchase of a full priced factory tour ticket, we allow one carer to join their client, friend or family member on the Factory Tour, at no charge. You will be asked to show one of the below documents on the day of your experience, without which may result in you being charged for a full priced ticket. Any additional members of your party will be required to pay for a full priced ticket. If more than one carer is required, we ask that you bring documentation to support this.
To book your carers ticket, please get in touch with us over the phone on 01684 573104 (option one) or email us via experience@morgan-motor.co.uk. If a ticket has already been purchased for your client, friend or family member, please have the booking reference to hand and if not, we can book all tickets at the same time over the phone or via email.
Carer Documentation (all must be dated within the last 12 months)
Attendance Allowance Letter (AA)
Carers’ Allowance Letter of Award
Disability Living Allowance Letter (DLA)
Personal Independence Payment letter (PIP)
Armed Forces Independence Payments (AFIP)
Nimbus / Access Card – with an Essential Companions symbol (+1)
(Please note that a bank statement is not sufficient proof. We require one of the above items of documents)
Assistance Dogs
Assistance and emotional support dogs are welcomed into The Experience Centre. Please ask our team in the café for a water bowl and small doggie treat!
Assistance dogs only are permitted on the factory tour. Our factory is a real working environment, with a number of hazards including noise (sometime sudden), moving vehicles and equipment, uneven surfaces and steps, in a busy factory environment with varied activities. We are not able to guarantee that the factory tour walkway will be free from small pieces of wood or metal.
If taking your assistance dog on the factory tour, you do so at your own risk and we ask that you please bring their service jacket. We offer tours on Saturdays when the factory is not in production and so what you experience is a still in time; a capture of our production process, with drastically reduced noise levels and movement.
Familiarisation Visits & Gallery
We recognise that visiting new places can be scary. Especially if you aren’t sure whether a place has the facilities that you, or your loved one needs. We welcome familiarisation visits to The Morgan Experience Centre so that you can be fully prepared on your next visit.
Whilst there is no booking necessary for familiarisation of The Morgan Experience Centre, we do require prior notice should you need to walk through our tour route. Please get in touch with us so that a member of our team can be scheduled to guide you around the factory (this should take no longer than 10-15 minutes).
The Morgan Experience Centre
Parking and Arrival
Parking at The Morgan Experience Centre is free and accessed via our entrance on Spring Lane; signposted with brown, tourism road signs.
Please take care on arrival as our vehicle entrance is narrow and used for traffic in both directions. Once in the car park, we operate a one way system. Upon departure, there is low visibility to the right and so please use the convex mirror opposite to assist you in pulling out onto Spring Lane.
Overflow parking can be found on the field to the rear of the Experience Centre and accessed via our main visitor car park. If parking on our field, you will need to cross a grassed area to reach a solid and even walking surface. You can also find a free public car park at Victoria Park and Community Hub, for which is a 5-minute walk away on Pickersleigh Avenue. There is an accessible toilet located at the Community Hub.
We have three accessible parking spaces in front of the Experience Centre. Please remember to bring your blue badge! The tarmac and resin surfaces in our car park are solid and even, with no kerbs or inclines. In the winter, our car park is flood lit for good visibility.
We don’t currently offer electric car charging points.
The walkway leading to The Experience Centre entrance is wide enough to allow vehicles to reverse back towards our doors, to drop off or collect customers. Please don’t hesitate to contact us should you need a second pair of eyes whilst you are reversing any vehicle towards the building.
Accessible Toilets and Baby Changing Facilities
We have one accessible toilet, located in the short corridor to the left of our reception desk. The door is not automatic and opens into the corridor.
Our baby changing facilities are located within the accessible toilet room.
We have sanitary bins located in all three of our toilets (male, female and accessible).
Assistance Dogs
Assistance and emotional support dogs are welcomed into The Experience Centre. Please ask our team in the café for a water bowl and small doggie treat!
Assistance dogs only are permitted on the factory Tour. Areas of the factory are loud, busy and we cannot guarantee that the factory tour walkway will free from small pieces of wood or metal.
If taking your assistance dog on the factory tour, please bring their service jacket. With prior notice, we can reduce the noise in certain areas of the factory by turning down radios, but this will not eliminate noise made by production machinery. We offer tours on Saturdays when the factory is not in production and so what you experience is a still in time; a capture of our production process, with drastically reduced noise levels and movement.
Fire alarms
A fire alarm test is run every Thursday between 15:00pm and 16:00pm. This does not include a full building evacuation and should last no longer than several minutes. Should a live and unscheduled fire alarm take place, members of the Morgan Experience team will sweep the building to evacuate all customers.
Helpful Information
Local Transport
To support our customers in travelling around Worcestershire, we have detailed several accessible taxi companies below:
Wheelchair Hire
Please ask reception if you would like to use one of our two, customer use wheelchairs within The Morgan Experience Centre, or along the tour route. Use of these chairs is first come, first served.
Changing Places
Changing places are campaigning for their facilities to be installed in all public venues, so that everyone, regardless of their access needs, disability or reliance on the assistance of carers or specialist equipment, can use a toilet facility with dignity and hygienically.
Whilst we don’t have Changing Places facilities here at The Morgan Experience Centre, we do have an accessible toilet on site, and links with Malvern Theatres who have these facilities close by. Malvern Theatres is a 5-minute drive away from Morgan and offers accessible parking spaces, automatic doors and lift access to their Changing Places toilet.
For access to other Changing Places facilities in Worcestershire, please use the following Changing Places search tool.
Accessibility Champions
Our teams throughout The Morgan Experience Centre have been trained to have awareness of accessibility and additional needs and are committed to creating accessible and memorable visits for all. Our accessibility champion here at Morgan Motor Company is Cat Holmes, who along with many other businesses in Worcestershire and on behalf of Morgan Motor Company, took part in the Accessible Tourism Programme hosted through Visit Worcestershire and delivered by Access & Inclusion UK.
